Pastor Matt and his wife Melissa Brown have been serving at New Life Assembly since July of 2000. Matthew grew up in the camping, fishing, and hunting country of Marquette County, Wisconsin. Since his childhood commitment to the Lord Jesus, he has been on a mission to serve Jesus whenever and wherever he was led.
Pastor Matt has been reaching teens for the Lord as a youth pastor since he graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri in 1996. He is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. His personal mission is to reach a new culture with an unchanging message -- Jesus saves and changes anyone who will reach out for Him. The youth ministry he leads, Reality Check Student Ministries, is on fire for the Lord. Worship has become a staple food for the youth ministry, as it is indispensable in Matt's personal life.
With the help of Melissa and a great youth leadership team, Matt's goal is to see every teen know about Jesus with information and know Jesus with experience. Teens face unceasing pressure from their peers and a degrading culture to throw their moral values out the window. Pastor Matt gives them a reason to hold fast to their values and challenges them to have a committed relationship with the Lord.
